HT Solar, which has introduced next-generation solar panels to Turkey and exports them to the world, continues on its path with new goals. Emre Kulaç, Sales and Marketing Director of HT Solar Energy, announced that the company aims to reach 2.7 GW installed capacity in Turkey by the end of 2024.
HT Solar Energy, one of Turkey's leading solar panel manufacturers, continues its efforts for a more livable and sustainable world by increasing its installed capacity both in Turkey and globally.
As of 2024, HT Solar has surpassed 2 GW of installed solar energy capacity in Turkey and aims to reach 2.7 GW by the end of the year. Continuing its investments abroad, HT Solar also aims to significantly increase its installed capacity, which currently exceeds 10 GW globally, by the end of 2024. HT Solar exports the solar panels it manufactures in Turkey to many countries, including the U.S. and Europe, contributing over $400 million annually to the country's economy.
We prevent an average of 1.298 million tons of carbon emissions per year”
HT Solar Energy Sales and Marketing Director Emre Kulaç, in his evaluation of the company's and the solar energy sector’s progress as of the first half of 2024, stated, “The total installed solar energy capacity in Turkey has reached 18 GW. As HT Solar Energy, we have increased our share to about 15%. This has helped prevent an average of 1.298 million tons of carbon emissions annually. This is equivalent to the benefit provided by approximately 193,731 trees to the environment.”
“We aim to increase our market share in Turkey to over 20%”
Kulaç mentioned that their goal is to reach 2.7 GW of installed capacity in Turkey by the end of 2024. He stated, “Our aim as HT Solar is to lead the renewable energy revolution by providing innovative solar energy solutions that empower communities, protect the environment, and support sustainable progress. To achieve this goal, we are determined to significantly increase our presence in Turkey's solar energy market. Over the next five years, we aim to expand our production capacity, invest in the latest technologies, and establish strategic partnerships, all while increasing our market share in Turkey to over 20%. This approach will not only increase our installed capacity but will also allow us to set new standards for innovation and efficiency in solar energy solutions. In this way, we are committed to contributing more to Turkey's energy transformation and the global sustainability goals.
Turkey is increasing its domestic and national energy production”
HT Solar Energy Sales and Marketing Director Kulaç, in his evaluation of the solar energy sector in Turkey, stated, “Turkey is working to increase its domestic and national energy production while striving to reach the Net Zero Emissions target by 2053 and reduce its dependency on foreign energy sources.” He further added:
“Recently, the HIT-30 High Technology Investment Program was announced, which aims to make Turkey the focus of high-tech investments. Through this program, over 20 billion dollars in private sector investments are expected to be made in Turkey by 2030. The goal here is to strengthen value-added domestic production by building all stages of solar energy technology in Turkey and to enable companies operating in Turkey to export, particularly to the U.S. We strongly believe in the importance of this program. Additionally, the agreement between the World Bank and the Republic of Turkey for a 1 billion dollar program to support renewable energy expansion efforts is an extremely significant development for our sector. We see this agreement as an important step in increasing Turkey’s solar energy capacity and contributing to energy independence.
