HT Solar, one of the leading companies in the sector with an investment of over $35 million, an innovative and technological product range, and exports extending from the USA to Europe and the Middle East, added another success by reaching a 2 GW installed power capacity nationwide in Turkey. Taking approximately 15% of Turkey's total solar energy installed power alone in its eighth year, HT Solar celebrated this success with its business partners in a gala night held in Istanbul on April 26.
Established in 2016 in Istanbul Tuzla Free Zone as a subsidiary of HT-SAAE listed on Bloomberg TIER-1, HT Solar, with the slogan 'More Than 2 GW', highlighted the message of bringing renewable energy generated from the sun to all corners of Turkey in the gala night. The 2 GW installed power completed with panels produced by HT Solar in Turkey meets the electricity needs of 600,000 households and approximately 2.5 million people.
With its R&D investments and innovative product development approach, HT Solar, which has pioneered many new technologies, also launched its newest product, the flexible panel, at the gala night. Getting ready to achieve an important success by mass-producing the flexible panel for the first time in Turkey, HT Solar aims to increase the economic value it provides to Turkey by exporting this product globally.
'We will continue to increase the economic and technological value we contribute to Turkey'
Speaking at the opening of the gala night, HT Solar Energy Chairman Robin Xi said, 'We are increasing our technology investments every day, and as a result of these investments, we produce solar panels for many countries including Turkey and the USA with our annual 2 GW production capacity.' He also stated:
'HT Solar has been maintaining its leadership among panel manufacturers in the ISO 500 list since 2018 with its approximately one thousand employees in Turkey and production power based on technology. By ranking 200th in the ISO 500 list in 2022, we proved our success. As HT Solar, we will continue to increase the economic and technological value we have brought to Turkey in the field of solar energy systems, and contribute to the national economy with new investments.'
'I hope we will come together again for events celebrating 5 GWs and 10 GWs'
HT Solar Energy Sales and Marketing Director Emre Kulaç emphasized that everyone from the company's employees to top management contributed to their achievement of reaching 2 GW installed power in Turkey, saying, 'Today, we have reached a point where approximately a thousand people work, we have references in more than 81 provinces of Turkey, and we have reached an export volume of over 1 GW annually to the USA.'
Describing the challenges they faced in eight years, including business processes as well as difficulties such as the pandemic and earthquakes, Kulaç expressed that they overcame these processes in mutual understanding with business partners, emphasizing that their business partnerships have been further strengthened.
Kulaç added, 'I would like to say that this approach in our business partnerships will continue to be strengthened and will continue to be more long-lasting. I hope we will come together again for events celebrating 5 GWs and 10 GWs.'
At the Gala Night, which was unforgettable with the unique performance of artist Ziynet Sali, plaques were also presented to business partners who played an important role in HT Solar's success and prominent figures who contributed to the sector.
