One of Turkey’s leading solar panel manufacturers, HT Solar Energy, showcased its cutting-edge next-generation solar panels at the 18th EIF World Energy Congress and Expo held in Istanbul. As the “Gold Sponsor” of EIF, HT Solar held numerous collaboration meetings at the expo, which brought together the renewable energy sector.
HT Solar showcased its Jupiter series solar panels with TOPCon technology, flexible panels, and next-generation foldable panels at the EIF (Energy is Future) World Energy Congress and Expo, which hosted thousands of visitors at the Istanbul Expo Center between October 9-11. As the 'Gold Sponsor' of EIF, HT Solar opened doors to new collaborations through meetings held at the expo, which brought together the renewable energy sector.
At EIF, organized under the motto 'For a Better Future,' HT Solar Energy's Deputy General Manager Emre Kulaç spoke as a speaker at the session 'Technological Developments Expected in Solar Energy and Market Evaluation.' Reflecting on their participation in the 18th EIF World Energy Congress and Expo, Kulaç highlighted the following points to the press:
'Today, the total installed solar energy capacity in Turkey has reached 18 GW. As HT Solar, we are providing energy to meet the needs of approximately 600,000 homes and about 2.5 million people with a market share of nearly 15%. Our installed capacity in Turkey occupies an area equivalent to an average of 3,851 football fields, preventing approximately 1.298 million tons of carbon emissions annually and contributing significantly to the green transformation. We aim to increase our efforts in the solar energy field to help Turkey achieve its Net Zero Emission target by 2053 and reduce its dependency on foreign energy. In this direction, we aim to expand our production capacity, invest in the latest technologies, and form strategic partnerships to increase our market share to 20% in the coming period. We have succeeded in being the largest solar panel manufacturer and exporter in Turkey, as listed in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's 2023 Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises (ISO 500) research. We are also ranked as the 35th largest exporter in Turkey. With all this strength, while maintaining our leadership in Turkey, EIF has provided us with the opportunity to meet with industry stakeholders and address current issues. As HT Solar, we will continue our efforts to lead Turkey’s clean energy transformation and provide a cleaner world for future generations by introducing solar energy to our country.'”
High performance, top-level efficiency: Jupiter series solar panels
The Jupiter series solar panels, equipped with TOPCon technology, offer users the opportunity for high-performance and more efficient energy production. The Jupiter series, consisting of Jupiter, Jupiter PRO, and Jupiter MAX panels, prevents long-term performance degradation thanks to the Anti-PID feature, which protects against potential-induced degradation under high voltage and humid conditions. Additionally, the Jupiter series solar panels offer bidirectional energy production performance, excellent low-light performance, and reduced power loss, positioning them as one of the most advanced solar panel technologies today. Furthermore, compared to traditional single-glass PERC panels, HT Solar's TOPCon solar panels provide 10% to 30% more energy, offering investors the advantage of higher returns.
About HT Solar Energy
HT Solar Energy, established in 2016 in the Tuzla Free Zone of Istanbul as a subsidiary of HT-SAAE, supplies solar panels to many parts of the world, primarily the Turkish and U.S. markets, with an annual production capacity of 2 GW. Reaching 2 GW of installed capacity in Turkey, HT Solar alone accounts for approximately 15% of the country's energy derived from solar energy. Competing with global giants, HT Solar has been listed on Bloomberg's prestigious TIER 1 list for 8 years. Additionally, the company exports 1 GW of solar panels annually to the U.S. market via Turkey. With nearly 500 employees, HT Solar has maintained its leadership among panel manufacturers in the ISO 500 list since 2018. In addition to the U.S., HT Solar exports solar panels to many countries, including Japan, India, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Brazil.
